I must congratulate members of the Couples For Christ – Sabah Chapter for reaching their 
10th year milestone as an association in September this year. I could feel the joy in their hearts, especially those who were with the group right from the beginning of its existence.
In conjunction with this celebration you have chosen the theme “Love More” within the context of “Families in the Holy Spirit Renewing the Face of the Earth.” It is a beautiful theme because you want to go the extra mile to share your love with one another and with the rest in the larger society. Indeed, God is love. Those who have experienced God experience love. And concretely the love of God is incarnated in Jesus Christ Our Lord. So a person who wants to love more needs to imitate Christ who died to Himself so that others may live. Dying to oneself is not easy but it is not impossible if he or she is driven by the love of God.
There are also serious attempts to distort the concept of family today. I pray that as you continue to allow the Holy Spirit to mould and guide you as families, you may contribute to the process of defending the family institution according to the plan of God. May this process bring about the bigger process of renewing the face of the earth.
