ljccc logoThe Light of Jesus Christ Covenant Community (LJCCC) was established on 31 July 1983.  It is dedicated to a lifestyle of praise and worship and of mission.  At a retreat in Bundu Tuhan in 1995, the leaders felt that God was calling them to give the Holy Spirit a special place of honour in their lives.  So on 1 Apr 1995 the Devotion to the Holy Spirit was launched.  Since then the devotion is conducted in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese on every last Sunday of the month simultaneously at three different venues.

The devotion consists of praise and worship, proclamation of the Word, prayer ministry for healing and deliverance, counselling and any other needs.

It organises yearly garage sales to raise funds for its outreach programmes.  It publishes The Light quarterly.

LJCCC is one of the founding members of the Catholic Fraternity.  Established in 1990, the Catholic Fraternity was created at the initiative of a number of Catholic Charismatic Communities belonging to the International Brotherhood of Communities – an ecumenical association of largely Catholic communities – that felt the need to affirm their identity with Charismatic Renewal, strengthen their links with the Church and deepen their communion with the Successor of Peter. The other three communities in Sabah are Star of Yahweh Sandakan (1984), Servants of Jesus Papar (1984) and Marvellous Light of Yahweh Labuan (1985).

Its administrative centre at Jalan Keramat was blessed by Abp John Wong on 31 March 2016.
