Schools were and still are a major means of missionary work or evangelisation reaching out to Catholics and non-Catholics alike. They were and still are a main avenue of imparting Christian formation to the young. In the archdiocese the three major types of educational institutes are (a) mission schools, (b) private schools, and (c) early childhood education via kindergartens and pre-schools.
