The Archdiocesan Catholic Women Commission (CCWKK) was formed in January 2013.  It is a consultative body, coordinating all the Catholic women groups in the archdiocese, and operating under the direction of the Ordinary.

Mission:
1. To look after the spiritual and social welfare of the Catholic women in the archdiocese
2. To promote and foster fellowship and understanding among members of all the Catholic women groups in the archdiocese
3. To deepen the faith of the Catholic women throughout the archdiocese and to instill in members the importance of being spiritually strong
4. To upgrade the women’s understanding and knowledge of the faith
5. To ensure that all the women in the parishes realise their real functions in accordance with the Guidelines of the Commission
6. To emphasise the importance of
a) upholding the dignity of women
b) members being willing and humble workers without expecting monetary benefits or rewards
7. To organise projects and activities at archdiocesan level if and when necessary
8. To form subcommittees to help in the implementation of its aims and objections if and when necessary.

Catholic Women’s League

Proposed by Fr J Vivian De Souza in 1967 it was formed first at Stella Maris Parish Tanjung Aru on 26 June 1968 for interested ladies to assist the rector in looking after the welfare of the parish and carrying out fund raising activities. Today there are more than 100 groups throughout the Ecclesiastical Province of Kota Kinabalu. In KK Archdiocese membership is divided into four zones: West Coast 1 (Dontozidon, ,Kota Kinabalu, Kepayan, Labuan, Limbahau, Papar, Penampang, Tanjung Aru); West Coast 2 (Bundu Tuhan, Ranau, Telupid); West Coast 3 (Inanam, Menggatal, Telipok, Tuaran); and Kudat Zone (Kota Belud, Kota Marudu and Kudat).

Mission:
1. To assist the Parish Pastoral Council in the work of the Church
2. To promote among Catholics the learning and living of the Catholic Faith
3. To build and foster the growth of the Catholic Community in the parish
4. To encourage parishioners to participate in activites which promote the spiritual, social and material welfare of the people
5. To raise funds for the Church in Sabah or elsewhere in accordance with the dignity of the Church.
