KOTA KINABALU – Simplicity, the hallmark of St Francis of Assisi, marked the celebration of the Franciscan Family of Sacred Heart Cathedral Parish here on 4 Oct 2016.

Fathers Rhobby Mojolou and Joshua Liew concelebrated the Mass attended by around 100 members of the Franciscan Family (Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception and Franciscan Seculars [Ordo Franciscanus Saecularis]), invited guests and friends.

It marked the FSIC’s 80th founding anniversary and the OFS 30th anniversary.

Abp John Wong and Abp Emeritus John Lee graced the fellowship dinner at the parish canteen.

In her brief speech, Local Minister Alice Rudolph said she was happy with the presence of Abp Emeritus Lee because he presided at the first profession of the first members 30 years ago.

In her turn, Spiritual Assistant Sr Cecilia Liew thanked everyone for their presence and support in many ways.

The event closed with a prayer and blessing from Abp Wong.
