Archbishop John Wong’s Message of Condolence

Deeply saddened to learn of the death of Cardinal Cornelius Sim of the Apostolic Vicariate of Brunei Darussalam on Saturday, 29 May 2021 in Taiwan, on behalf of the clergy, religious and laity of Kota Kinabalu, I wish to express our condolences and our union in prayer with the College of Bishops, the family and friends, and the faithful of the Vicariate of the deceased, as well as all those who mourn him.

Cardinal Sim left an unforgettable mark in his untiring and devoted service to the Church, and for his constant advocacy of dialogue and peace for all people in Brunei.

May the Lord welcome His servant into His peace and joy!
