Three Franciscan postulants receive Tau Cross

TANJUNG ARU – Three postulants of the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception received the Tau Cross from the superior general,  Sister Grace Deosing,  on 3 Feb 2017 at Stella Maris Convent. here.

The trio were Evlyne Ginduk from Kg Kelawat Kota Belud, Jessica James kg Lokos Bundu Tuhan and Lea Mannel from Kg Toboh Tambunan.

The Tau Cross, according to the sisters, is a concrete sign of Christian devotion, a sign of commitment of one’s life to follow the poor and crucified Christ.  It is a sign of awareness of a child of God who has escaped danger, of one who has been redeemed and saved, a sign of protection against evil (Ez 9:6).  It serves as a reminder that one must be strong in times of trial, ready to obey the Father, docile in submission just as Jesus was docile to the Father’s will. – Teresa Alberto/Sr Regina Kimung
