The cathedral parish also bade farewell to seminarians Peter Chung and Lasius Gantis who has completed their four months long pastoral immersion with them since Jan 4 this year.

Although the parish was unable to give them a proper farewell because of the MCO, a simple lunch was thrown for them May 1 at the rectory as a token of appreciation for their service, attended by only Archbishop John Wong and the parish priests.

Fr Max has been serving in the cathedral and St Paul Dontozidon since 2016. During lunch, Fr Max expressed his gratitude for having being given the opportunity to serve in both parishes and said he will bring all that he has learned to Ranau.

Meanwhile both Seminarians Peter and Lasius said their pastoral immersion this year was very different. Because of the MCO, they were given the opportunity to experience both the active and contemplative life. SHC Soccom
