Divine Mercy treks challenging pilgrimage to Mt Rosary
RANAU – Forty-eight members of the Divine Mercy Ministry from Stella Maris Parish succeeded in making a pilgrimage to Mt Rosary on 20 Nov 2018.
Although they could only make it to visit four stations: St Peter Claver Ranau (Station No. 1), St Bede Kg Kokob (Station No. 2) St Augusting Hippo Kg Kibbas (Station No. 3) and Mt Rosary St Paul of Tarsus Kg Toboh Baru (Station No. 4), the ‘senior-citizen’ pilgrims viewed the pilgrimage of a trek up the Mt Rosary a “challenge”. Their perseverance has given them a deep sense of joy and personal achievement.
The one-day pilgrimage was aimed to foster unity between the DM devotees and the local community. They also took time to reflect on their calling as ‘apostles’ of the Divine Mercy. The ‘journey of faith’ was led by Sr Bernardine and SMP DM coordinator Theresa William. – SMP DM
