Kobusak rejoices at birth of new LOM praesidium

 

KOBUSAK – Barely eight months after celebrating its inaugural feast day of Queenship of Mary on 22 August 2016, the Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace Kobusak once again rejoiced at the birth of a new Legion of Mary praesidium under the title of Our Lady Queen of Peace.

The legionaries completed their three months’ probation with full dedication and took their Legionary Promise addressed to the Holy Spirit on 5 Apr 2017, witnessed by Sr Dora Obod fsic, Spiritual Director of Our Lady Queen of All Saints Praesidium Dontozidon, representing the parish priest,  Our Lady Queen of All Saints Praesidium Dontozidon and Our Lady of Grace Praesidium Kopungit.

Tribune Victoria Voon was also present to witness the event.

Office bearers were Marina Roger (president), Elizabeth Anjun (deputy president), Maria Tatiomiss Guntingan (secretary), Felicia Bejium (treasurer), Alice Magdalene Jikun (active member) and Nancy Jullok (auxiliary).

The praesidium will meet every Wednesday at 7:30 pm at Legion of Mary room at the church of Our Lady Queen of Peace Kobusak.

With the direction given by Archbishop John Wong for personal reflection and appreciation of the role of Mary in God’s plan of salvation and in bringing peace to the world, the new praesidium now joins over 10 million active and auxiliary members in over 160 countries worldwide to be a visible sign of Mary’s maternal love for the world and as a means of enlisting all her children in the evangelising work of the Church, particularly in the area of Kg Kobusak.  Salve Regina!. – Social & Publicity, SPCD
