SFC BoG holds farewell for retiring principal
KOTA KINABALU – The St Francis Convent School Board of Governors (BoG) held a farewell gathering for the primary school principal on 15 Nov 2016 at a local hotel here.
Sim Cho Kein from Peninsular Malaysia has served as principal of the primary school since 2006. Under her tenure she has motivated the pupils not just to excel in academics but also to widen their knowledge culturally, enviromentally, and socially through various local and national activities.
In his speech, Archbishop John Wong, Board Adviser, thanked the retiree for all the services she has rendered to the school community.
In her turn, the retiring principal also thanked everyone who has helped her in one way or another to improve the school.
Around 60 teachers, board members and guests were present for the occasion. Sim’s retirement would start the next day Nov 16, also her birthday. She informed those present that she would be returning to the peninsula to spend her retirement with her family.
The new principal Mdm Dora Loi was then introduced to those present. She would begin her tenure on Nov 17.
