Stella Maris EAM organises eucharistic seminar
PAPAR – The Eucharistic Adoration Ministry (EAM) of Stella Maris Parish organised a two-day seminar entitled “Encountering Jesus in the Eucharist” on 12-14 Aug 2016 at Pace Bene Retreat Centre here, with by 33 participants.
Facilitator Anthony Lim cited from the Holy Fathers and from Scriptures, that the Holy Eucharist is “the most precious treasure of the Church.”
“The Holy Eucharist is the source and summit of Christian life, for the Blessed Eucharist contains the whole spiritual goodness of the Church that is Christ Himself,” he added.
Lim guided the participants through the “Lectio Divina” in encountering Jesus in Eucharistic Adoration. He told them about the blessedness of receiving special graces from the Lord each time they come for the Holy Hour.
Fr Aloysius Fidelis presided over the concluding Mass on the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Raymund, a participant, shared: “I am joyful and happy celebrating the Holy Eucharist because I know that Jesus is there always waiting for me. Jesus changes water into wine, and so He can make my body a temple for Him.”
“The seminar reinforced my knowledge that the Eucharist is Jesus truly present – Body, Blood, Soul and the presence of the Trinity, which really touched me. During the Eucharistic Adoration, I encountered a most profound, joyful, peaceful and healing experience,” said Paul, another participant.
Carolyn said that the seminar has “helped me to understand the true meaning of Eucharistic Celebration as a Catholic and it has strengthened my relationship with our Lord Jesus.”
Sharon said that the talks have “enlightened me that we receive everything when we encounter Jesus in the Eucharist.” – Peter Yong
