FSICs organise fundraising bazaar
KOTA KINABALU – The Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception (FSIC) organised a bazaar in aid of their senior Sisters’ home (extension), sisters’ formation and the maintenance of their various convents in Sabah on 11 Sept 2016.
Throngs of parishioners came in support of the bazaar at the Sacred Heart Parish Centre here. All the sisters from the 25 convents, their associates and collaborators came all out for this event. Aside from cooked food, cookies, fresh fruits and vegetables, there were also games, comics, publications, and second-hand clothes for sale.
The fine weather was a boost to the bazaar, given the previous two days of rain. Through the generous support of the parishioners, the fundraising activity easily reached its target of over RM300,000.00.
Superior General Sr Grace Deosing and the organising committee extended their heartfelt thanks to all those who came in support of the bazaar, especially to the Sacred Heart Cathedral parish priest for the use of the parish centre.
