Almost two hundred children receive Holy Communion at SHC

KOTA KINABALU – Around one hundred and eighty-eight children made their first Holy Communion at the Sacred Heart Cathedral here over the weekend of October 24-25, 2015.  One hundred and eight children from the English medium including nine from the sign language class, received the sacrament during the Sunset Mass Oct 24 while eighty of them from the Malay medium received theirs at the 10:45 AM Mass Oct 25.  Another fifty-three from the Chinese medium will receive theirs on Nov 1 at the 7 AM Chinese Mass.  It is hoped that this parish event will mark the beginning of a lifelong friendship with Jesus with the help of their families, teachers, and friends.
