New Tadika Mission opens in Bundu Tuhan

3 (10)BUNDU TUHAN –A new Tadika mission was officially opened under the care of St Pius X Parish, Bundu Tuhan, Jul 6. The success was a concerted effort and cooperation from the parish priests, parish pastoral council, the Board of Governors and parents. The Archdiocese Early Childhood Committee (AECEC) briefed the parish on the opening of Tadika mission early May this year.

The committee provided guidance and advice, and assisted the parish in coordinating with the Sabah Education Department Registrar for the proper procedure of registration of the Tadika. It is indeed a historic moment for Bundu Tuhan parish. The Tadika is named Tadika Tunas Pelita, St Pius Bundu Tuhan, which saw 20 children registered so far. The opening ceremony (pic) started with registration of students, followed by Mass and a fellowship meal.

There was much joy in the simple celebration.  The joyfulness of the parents and the children portrays their gratefulness to God for the gift of the new Tadika mission.

The Tadika is indeed a dream come true for Bundu Tuhan parishioners.  “Realizing the importance of early childhood education, let us walk together with one vision and motivation. With this new Tadika mission, I hope everyone will cooperate in providing early education to the children especially cultivating the Catholic faith at this tender age,” said Fr Michael in his speech. – Joanna Sabin
